MORE THAN 6,000 SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO WASHINGTON COUNTY SENIORS IN 2012! Thank you Interfaith volunteers - for 2012 and for all eight years of our continued growth! Who We Are Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County is a non-profit 501(c)(3) network of volunteers who provide assistance to help maintain the independence of Washington County residents age 60+. Services Offered While we happily accept donations, no fee is charged to the individual.
History A group of very aware Washington County residents saw a need for neighborly services that would offer seniors the help they need to remain healthy and safe. This group carefully considered other Interfaith/Faith In Action programs and in 2005 created the nonprofit that is now Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County. The organization has grown rapidly and continues to see tremendous need in the community. In 2009 Interfaith took ownership of its first transportation vehicles, allowing volunteers to provide more transports. In 2013 Interfaith has seven vehicles - four in West Bend, two in Hartford and one in Germantown. Each community has one wheelchair accessible vehicle, but a DOT grant may make it possible to replace two of the existing older model vans with newer accessible vehicles. How Do I Request Assistance?
