Volunteers

Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County values all their volunteers. Our organization would not exist without them.  Our volunteers believe in Interfaith’s mission to assist older adults.

All volunteers are subject to a criminal background check, driving record check (when appropriate) and must submit three references.  Interfaith requires this as security that all volunteers that interact with older adults are safe reliable volunteers.  They are also given a short training to guarantee that they are familiar with guidelines and policies of Interfaith.  All volunteers are covered under Interfaith Caregivers liability insurance policy.

If you enjoy interacting with older adults and helping people, please consider being a volunteer with Interfaith Caregivers.  Our volunteers decide when, where and what they volunteer for.  There is no monthly requirement of time, we ask you to give what time you have available.

Our volunteers consist of:

  • High School students
  • College Students
  • Retired Individuals
  • Individuals working a full time job
    • Business people
    • Doctors
    • Nurses
    • School Teachers
    • Administrative Assistants
  • As well as individuals working a part time job
  • And full time mothers/wives

Our volunteers come from all walks of life with one common goal to keep older adults as independent as possible.
